Privacy Policy

Who we are

GovGalaxy is operated by Schade Interactive LLC, a Michigan company ("we" or "us"). This policy covers this website. Questions go to mark@govgalaxy.com.

What we collect

• No accounts or forms. There are no sign-ups, logins, comments, or payments, so we don't ask for your name, email address, or location.
• Standard web requests. Like any website, when your browser loads a page it sends technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. Our hosting provider handles these requests to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (see below). We don't use this information to identify you.
• No analytics service. We don't use Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party tracking tool, and we don't add tracking codes to the links we share.

Cookies and your browser's storage

GovGalaxy doesn't set cookies. A few pages that aren't in the site's menu let you save preferences, such as topics you follow or an optional count of pages you've visited. Those are off unless you turn them on, are kept only in your own browser's storage, are never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time from those pages or your browser settings.

Other companies involved

• Vercel hosts the site. It processes the standard request information described above and may keep short-term server logs for security and reliability, under its own privacy policy.
• Our email provider receives any email you send us.
• Map tiles. Some pages outside the site's menu show map tiles loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your browser's standard request information when you view them. The early vote map and state pages don't.
• Links to other sites. We link to official election offices and other sources. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave GovGalaxy.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
• We don't collect or publish information about individual voters. The early vote numbers on GovGalaxy are totals published by state and county election offices.
• We don't build profiles of visitors or follow you across other websites.

Email you send us

If you write to corrections@govgalaxy.com or any other GovGalaxy address, we get your email address and whatever you include. We use it to check and fix the error you reported and to reply to you. We won't add you to a mailing list or publish your name without asking. We keep messages only as long as we need them for that purpose, and you can ask us to delete yours.

If we offer an email newsletter in the future, it will be opt-in, and we'll update this policy before it starts.

Children

GovGalaxy is a general-audience site and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact
